Social, Wealth & Philanthropy Circuit
Avalon Founders Ball
An annual black-tie event held every October tracing back to the late 1800s. Originally hosted by the Avalon and Heights families to celebrate the city's founding. Now organized by a formal committee drawn from legacy families, institutional leaders, and civic figures. Invitations are issued by the committee — you cannot buy your way in. New wealth in the city sometimes waits years to receive one. Held at The Avalon Grand Hotel. HMN covers the arrivals. T.E.A. always has something to say about the guest list.
Avalon Grand Charity Gala
A black-tie fundraiser hosted annually at The Avalon Grand Hotel. Attendance is invitation-only, with proceeds supporting education, healthcare, or cultural institutions.
Harborcrest Legacy Ball
A private, invitation-only event held by residents of Harborcrest. Attendance is tightly controlled and reflects long-standing social hierarchies rather than new wealth.
