Solace Run Stables

About this location

The operation that actually campaigns horses at Pointe Derby Track and the wider seasonal derby circuit, distinct from Redstone's bloodstock production. Founded by Desmond Vance, a former Redstone stablehand who spent a decade learning bloodlines from the inside before leasing his first horse and building an independent outfit. Employs a small roster of contract jockeys and exercise riders, none of them Boone family, all of them local — and Solace Run beats Redstone's own entries on the track often enough to be a sore subject at the Paddock Club.
